Description

This is great opportunity to join the development team in a forward-thinking, ambitious and lively IT Department at this Cambridge College with a proven track-record of delivering high-quality software and services to the entire College community.

THE ROLE

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and gain the skills to advance your software development career. You will be working with modern technologies and have the chance to gain experience in all areas of software development. You will actively participate in shaping the future goals and projects of the development team.

The ideal candidate;

You will be passionate about technology and keen to expand your programming skills.
You should have the ability to learn quickly and think on your feet.
You should have a programming background, preferably with web technologies.
You will be flexible, organised and take responsibility for your own work.

DESIRABLE SKILLS but not essential;

Experience of web application and user interface development.
Experience with JavaScript development frameworks.
Understanding of interfacing with database systems.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle, from specification through to testing and deployment.
Solid problem solving skills.
